BaZi & ZiWei Chart Calculator with True-Solar-Time Correction — Malaysia

Cast an accurate free BaZi and ZiWei (Purple Star) chart in Malaysia. We correct to your birthplace's true solar time by longitude — Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Malacca, Ipoh, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching are all built in — because Malaysia runs a single UTC+8 civil clock while the chart is actually keyed by the solar time of where you were born. The two often differ by 20–30 minutes, and one 时辰 (2-hour block) off is a different chart entirely.

WHY MALAYSIANS USE IT

True-solar-time correction

Automatically converts your civil birth time to true solar time by your city's longitude — no manual almanac math. Malaysia spans a wide longitude (nominally UTC+8, actually ~100–104°E), so the correction is what pins your 命宫 accurately.

BaZi + ZiWei, two systems

One birth entry gives you both a BaZi chart (Day Master, element balance, Ten Gods) and a ZiWei chart (12 palaces, main stars, Four Transformations, decade luck) — plus a cross-referenced synthesis reading.

Transparent reference library

Browse the 15-text library that informed our traditional terminology and associations. Readings are modern editorial interpretations, so we do not present the catalogue as line-by-line proof for each judgment.

How do I cast an accurate chart in Malaysia?

Enter your birth date, time, and birth city. The app uses that city's longitude to convert the civil clock time on your birth certificate into true solar time, then casts your BaZi and ZiWei charts from it. If you're unsure of the exact minute, tick 'time unknown' for a ~90%-match approximate chart with a reminder to confirm — because right on a 时辰 boundary, a minute or two flips the whole chart.

Frequently asked

Do I need true-solar-time correction for a BaZi chart in Malaysia?

Yes. Malaysia uses a single UTC+8 civil clock, but BaZi and ZiWei read time by the solar time of your birthplace. West Malaysia sits around 100–104°E, so true solar time usually runs 20–30 minutes behind the clock; without the correction you can land in the wrong 时辰 and get a different chart. This tool corrects automatically by your birth city's longitude.

Which Malaysian cities are supported?

Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Penang, Johor Bahru, Malacca, Ipoh, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Shah Alam and other major cities have built-in longitudes; for anywhere else, pick the nearest. Longitude is what drives the true-solar-time correction.

Is casting and reading free?

Casting and the main-star reading are free forever, and you can see your full 12-palace chart. Deeper interpretation (per-palace detail, patterns, Four Transformations, year-ahead, couple compatibility) unlocks with the Complete Reading, priced in ringgit.

What's the difference between BaZi and ZiWei?

BaZi (Four Pillars) reads the five-element balance and Ten Gods from the stems and branches of your birth year, month, day and hour — the 'energy' view. ZiWei (Purple Star) lays main stars and Four Transformations across 12 palaces — the 'imagery' view. They complement each other; this tool offers a synthesis reading that cross-references both.
