Zuo Fu

Zuo Fu is Earth (戊土), a Northern-Dipper assistant star whose transformed nature is 'goodness' (善). Its essence is assistance — unlike a main star with its own character and domain, Zuo Fu is a steady, weighty, easy-going boost: whichever palace it lands in becomes more stable and better supported. It governs 'open help' — concrete aid from the peers, colleagues, and subordinates around you. It is weakest standing alone (without its pair You Bi) and strongest when the two flank a main star together.

In the Self palace, Zuo Fu strengthens the main star: a person of loyalty and largeness, steady in action, wide in good ties, helped through life mainly by peers and capable subordinates. With You Bi in the same or flanking palaces, the support peaks and danger finds rescue. In a relationship palace (Spouse, Siblings), it adds a helper to that domain — though amid dense peach-blossom stars, the assistant pair can also imply 'an extra person involved', so read the whole chart.
