Self & Body United

In Zi Wei Dou Shu the Self palace (命宫, your innate nature) and the Body palace (身宫, what you grow into and emphasise in the second half of life) are usually different. When they coincide in one palace, inner character and outward life-emphasis point the same way.

Nature and direction reinforce each other rather than pull apart. The result is consistency and self-drive — these people know themselves early, hold their course, and are hard for circumstances or other people to redirect. The strength is conviction; the caution is rigidity, so staying open to growth keeps the focus from hardening into stubbornness.

The Self (命) palace and Body (身) palace settling in the same position (independent of which stars sit there).

The classics hold that when Self and Body share a palace, nature and circumstance align — a self-reliant life little moved by the outside world.
