Piān Cái

'Piān' means unconventional, free-flowing. Indirect Wealth, same polarity as the Day Master, is 'the wealth of the many, the wealth of the world' — not gripped tight like Direct Wealth, but flowing through your hands, taken by chance and skill. Such people have an inborn nose for money and opportunity, and grasp that 'scatter wealth and people gather' — the more open-handed, the more it accrues. It is the most commercial, most worldly money-star of the ten: big in scope, free with its hand, rich in connections.

Those with a strong Indirect Wealth are generous, hearty, sociable, quick-witted, fast to react, and willing to gamble — they love a lively scene, spend freely, and know everyone: born dealmakers and opportunists. At their best they think big, get things done, build wide goodwill, and earn from many streams; at their worst money comes and goes on a whim, they cannot sit still, and they overspend or speculate impulsively, sometimes too set on profit and show. Aimed right, this energy is a fortune-engine for opening new ground.

Indirect Wealth is the born 'business star,' favoring every field that earns through opportunity, connections, vision, and nerve: entrepreneurship, trade, sales, investment, brokerage, market expansion, cross-sector ventures. Indirect-Wealth people chafe at a fixed wage and excel at running several bets at once — if one door is dark, another lights up. The more fluid and worldly the arena, the better they swim. Their edge is a keen nose, a bold hand, and the knack of turning a network into cash.

Indirect Wealth governs 'big money, windfall money, flowing money': business profit, investment gains, unexpected income, sums won through chance and connection — often larger than Direct Wealth, but swinging wider and moving faster. The classics say 'Indirect Wealth loves to do good' and 'scatter wealth and people gather' — the more such a person shares, gives, and invests in relationships, the more the money flows. The best structure is a strong Day Master that can carry Indirect Wealth, with Output feeding it endlessly — then wealth rolls in, and riches pile high.

Indirect-Wealth people are warm, generous, and draw admirers — open-handed and charming with the opposite sex, hugely likeable. For a male chart, Indirect Wealth often extends to 'romance beyond the principal wife' — magnetism and opportunity abound, needing the Officer/Killings or Resource to settle it lest it wander. It also signifies the father, governing the bond with him or his influence on one's life. The relational lesson is to gather that abundant charm into singular commitment — not to let 'scattering wealth' scatter love as well.
